According to a report by HollywoodLife, feuding exes Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels are both going to attend the MTV Video Music Awards on August 20. Is it going to be awkward?
In fact, judging by their drama on social media in the past week, things could get really messy between them at the event.
That being said, the outlet mentions a rumor that there is already a plan to keep the exes from making a scene.
TMZ was the first that claimed the security guards have already been informed about the beef between them and are expected to be on high alert, ready to intervene if things get ugly.
Aside from that small concern, the event is expected to be great.
Minaj will be performing a song off her brand new album Queen, while Safaree will be representing VH1.
This would be the first time the exes will be in the same place following their ugly mutual bashing in the last few days.
Their feud took a really ugly turn when the man accused his ex of stabbing him once, and nearly killing him.
It’s such a pity to see the former couple of 12 years reach this point.
But judging by their shocking accusations, it sounds like it was a pretty toxic romance so maybe it’s better to feud from afar than try to stab one another.
The two ended things in 2014, and since then, Safaree has repeatedly claimed he still cares about Nicki a lot, and he could never hate her.
That doesn’t mean he hasn’t expressed his frustration about their bad romance just as much as the female rapper, however.
