Even though Safaree Samuels and Nicki Minaj have been battling lately over Twitter, the rapper is willing to let it all go. When he spoke with reporters from Us Weekly last night, he said he was in a “good headspace” despite the bad blood with the Queen rapper.
It all began on the 14th of August, when the 35-year-old, Minaj, said to the host of Hot 97, Funkmaster Flex, that the 37-year-old stole her credit card to pay for sex workers.
As fans of the ex-couple know, they started dating back in 2002, before finally ending their romance in 2014. Additionally, Minaj accused Safaree of stealing her credit card to get surgery on his hairline.
Safaree countered with the claim that Minaj once cut him. Despite their past fighting, on the red carpet for the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday, August 20th, Samuels didn’t seem to care a whole lot about their dispute.
“I don’t know what’s going on on her side, but I wish her the best, and I just hope that we could be in a space where one day, we could be at least cordial because I have no hate in my heart for anybody.”
Moreover, the Love And Hip Hop star insinuated that Nicki isn’t willing to let bygones be bygones. He added, “I know I can because I know who I am,” but “everyone’s different.”
Regarding her latest record, Samuels says he hasn’t listened to it yet, and everyone on earth has been asking him about it. In his final comments, the rapper said that it would’ve been best for Minaj to not even react to the fact that she didn’t have a number one album.
According to Samuels, not everything deserves a reaction, and if she had been quiet about it, nobody would’ve even noticed. As it was previously reported, Nicki was expecting her record to surpass Travis Scott’s Astroworld which has been in the number one spot now for its second week.
