During Deadpool 2’s panel at Comic-Con today, one fan had a very interesting question to ask the star of the movie, Ryan Reynolds. They were curious to learn which role he did in the past between X-Men Origins’ Deadpool or Green Lantern he hates and regrets more.
As you may be aware, both superhero films were massive flops before the success of the Deadpool movies which have even made fun of the portrayals through the savage fourth-wall breaking character.
While Reynolds admitted both Green Lantern and X-Men origins were pretty bad, he made it very clear that he had a lot of fun shooting them, and besides, ‘Both have kind of been a wealth of endless jokes for Deadpool. … So I kind of love them both.’
Deadpool 2 has already had its premiere in cinemas, but the special Comic-Con presentation treated the fans to some exclusive, never before seen scenes that are also set to be part of the Super Duper [email protected]%!#& Cut.
One such special sequence shows Deadpool going back in time to kill Hitler as a baby and the video ended up being censored a lot despite the nature of the films which are filled with swearing and other creative language.
‘Are we not allowed to swear? Its called the Super Duper Thunderf**ck Edition. OK, they’ll bleep that out later,’ Reynolds commented.
As the actor is well known for being a very loving and dedicated husband and father, he just couldn’t help but speak about his wife and fellow actress Blake Lively.
According to him, it was her who encouraged him to try his chances with another superhero film after the previous flops.
‘My wife Blake jumped in and was like, ‘You’ve got to do this movie. You’ve been trying to get this movie made since before I was born,’’ he shared.
