Rumer Willis wanted to make some changes in her life. Rumer, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, recently expounded on the pain she endured during a tattoo removal process on her left shoulder.
During the amfAR Gala in Beverly Hills, California, the star said, “it’s awful, it’s awful,” before going on to explain that a lot of her big tattoos were “super light.” Some of her friends warned that it hurt, but she really wasn’t prepared for just how bad it was.
As for why she chose to get rid of them, a lot of the tattoos she had were made when she was young. As Rumer has gotten older, what was meaningful to her before, no longer carries the same weight.
On Thursday, Willis was wearing a bright-yellow gown that showed off her body and slowly deteriorating tattoo. According to Rumer, the removal of her tats symbolized progress and a new chapter in her life.
You can check out the picture of her outfit below as well as her fading body-art.

Saffron ? • • • What an unbelievable evening celebrating @amfar!! I was truly blown away by by all the work you do. Your dedication and commitment to finding a cure for HIV/AIDS is unmatched. 37 million people are currently living with HIV and nearly 5,000 more are infected every day. This fight is not over yet and I was so honored and humbled to be in a room last night celebrating the people at the forefront of this fight.
Her explanation for why she chose to get rid of them didn’t say it a lot. The star said she “just turned 30 this year,” and it’s essential for her to focus on the positive, rather than the negative in the world right now.
As fans of the singer know, she is in the middle of shooting for Quentin Tarantino’s film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which features an all-star cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and more.
In Quentin’s new movie, she has the role of Joanna Pettet, Sharon Tate’s friend, who was killed by the Manson family. Reportedly, Margot Robbie, the Suicide Squad alum, will portray Sharon.
