Roseanne Barr Claims She Thought Valerie Jarrett Was White In New YouTube Video

Just one month after Roseanne Barr used social media in a way that ultimately led to her ruin, the former television star released a YouTube video where she addressed the backlash directly, for the second time.
On Thursday, Roseanne released a video where she can be seen speaking with an unidentified person in the background. In the clip, she states that she was referring to the Iran deal, rather than Valerie’s personality, ethnicity, and identity as a person.
According to Roseanne, that’s what her tweet was all about. Additionally, Barr says in the video explicitly that she thought Valerie was white. Check out the video below:
As it was previously reported, Roseanne tweeted that Valerie was a combination of the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of The Apes, a social media post that effectively ended her show on ABC, Roseanne.
Shortly after she was accused of being racist, ABC canceled her show post-haste. Within hours, her show was off the air, with Channing Dungey – coincidentally a black woman and the CEO of ABC – releasing a statement saying that her comments don’t align with their values as a company at all.
Roseanne’s comments online were widely condemned by everyone in Hollywood, with the actress explaining her actions as a result of “Ambien-tweeting” and being very stressed out and tired.
In response to her self-defense, the makers of Ambien joked that “racism” wasn’t a side effect of taking their drug. However, other fans pointed out that Ambien often does have brutal side effects, including amnesia.
Nonetheless, Roseanne torpedoed her career through her own actions, and it’s not likely the 65-year-old comedienne will ever get another show.
Even Michael B Jordan made fun of her during his acceptance speech for his award for Best Villian. The actor said that he thought the trophy should’ve gone to Roseanne instead.
