Amid her massive racist tweet scandal that caused her show to be canceled by ABC, Roseanne Barr continues to retweet questionable things. That being said, some even blamed none other than the former First Lady Michelle Obama for her sitcom being cut by the network. Here’s why!
As you may be aware, the actress apologized multiple times for her racist tweet about Barack Obama’s former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett.
But ever since, the 65-year-old woman has been tweeting and retweeting about how unfair the situation is, a couple of them even putting the blame on Michelle.
One post she retweeted read: ‘BREAKING: According to sources ABC President Channing Dungey had a long conversation via phone with former First Lady Michelle Obama before deciding to cancel the Roseanne show. Michelle Obama was reportedly enraged and insisted an apology was inadequate……developing.’
‘Interesting. A few days after the popular #ObamasNetflixShows was all over the place making people giggle. Not surprised and I wouldn’t doubt it being very true,’ another tweet said.
Roseanne wondered: ‘Is this true?’
This last tweet she noticed seems to suggest that the Obama couple may have something to do with the cancelation of Roseanne because she mocked their Netflix deal before. Is this really the Obamas’ revenge?
Meanwhile, Barr insisted she is not racist.
‘I’m not a racist, I never was, and I never will be. One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting for civil rights for all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER be taken from me,’ she said in one post.
For now, it is not clear what the future of Roseanne is. Some speculate that it will either go on without the comedian or that it will be picked up by another network.
