It was Harvey Weinstein’s birthday on Monday, and it’s highly unlikely that he enjoyed himself due to the cascade of allegations as well as the recent destruction of his company, The Weinstein Company. Following the accusations of sexual misconduct thrown by nearly one hundred women at this point – as well as the media attention from The New York Times and The New Yorker – Harvey has been in hiding.
Rose McGowan, who vehemently criticized Harvey because of their rancid past together, took to Twitter today and wished Harvey a malevolent “happy birthday.”
In her video, she said that “we’d be coming” for him and after twenty years, it finally happened. Rose’s post has gone viral. While leaning into the frame of the camera, McGowan blew a kiss, winked, and whispered that “we win.”
McGowan claims Harvey raped her during the Cannes Film Festival back in 1997 and in response, Weinstein and his legal team denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.
Moreover, since the accusations against the former producer first began, the actress has repeatedly spoke on his name in the media. Rose talked to Ronan Farrow about her encounter with Weinstein in an interview with The Times and detailed her experiences in Hollywood in her latest memoir, Brave.

As the story goes, Weinstein paid her $100,000 back in the late 1990’s to keep quiet about what had happened between them, and supposedly he has two witnesses who corroborate the producer’s story. Harvey said she is merely trying to create publicity for her new book and smear Weinstein’s reputation for her gain.
Rose and her team stated that Harvey’s defense was merely a “sad, pathetic, old-fashioned” and sexist attempt at undermining truth.
As it was previously reported, The Weinstein Company had to file for bankruptcy because of the allegations against Harvey. Coincidentally, it all happened yesterday, on his birthday.
