On Wednesday, Dana White, the UFC President, made an announcement that made fans really happy! As it seems, after a long time of waiting, Ronda Rousey is back! White still considers her one of the “baddest female fighters” on the entire planet. Rousey is going to meet a new titleholder, Amanda Nunes, on the 30th of December, at the UFC 207 event that will take place in Las Vegas.
Despite the fact that Rousey was completely outmatched on her last participation in Octagon (due to a knockout performed by Holly Holm at the UFC 193 event), she still had a strike of six victories in a row, which gained her the fame as the most dominant female in the entire UFC history. This brought her a never seen before success.
However, the break she took and her loss only amplified the hype around her. While everybody will be eyes and ears to see her next appearance and whether she will win or not, the real money for her will come after the comeback.
Stylistically, Nunes is quite an intriguing enemy. Though the two girls have no prior history, they still have a common point, the former gold from UFC, a symbol that seems not to have such a big importance nowadays. Obviously, both will try their best to make as much scandal as possible in order to advertise the event and bring as much money as possible.
If Ronda can get her title back from Nunes, White said that what comes next is a fight with Cris “Cyborg” Justino. The two female fighters from the top have always been at war over a weight clash, while Cyborg has really been kicking it up a notch in the last months. All in all, everybody is anxiously waiting to see the result of the next fight!
