Robert Pattinson was not really well known when he first starred in the Twilight franchise, but after portraying Edward Cullen, he definitely became a superstar in Hollywood overnight! Both he and Kristen Stewart were all of a sudden the faces of fantasy teen romance.
Believe it or not, almost ten years have passed since the first film was released in theaters and now, the actor opened up about the role that opened so many doors for him in the industry.
That being said, Pattinson told E! News that he does not regret being part of the Twilight franchise.
While on the red carpet, promoting his newest film, titled Damsel, Robert revealed that in his opinion ‘That first movie was great’ and that ‘the whole thing’ was his favorite memory.
‘It was really fun. It was also a massive turning point in my life. I had an entirely different life afterward. I was not entirely sure I was going to be an actor until after that movie so I will always appreciate it,’ he added.
It only makes sense that he looks back at it with fondness. After all, it really did make his career and turn him into a star.
Apparently, Pattinson still keeps in touch with former co-star and lover, Kristen Stewart.
We know that the two met up not too long ago at a mutual friend’s L.A. party and after chatting for a while, the actors went their separate ways.
Fans of the former couple have been wishing for years for them to reunite but it looks like they might never be more than just pals again.
Be sure to check out Robert’s latest film, Damsel, hitting theaters on June 22!
