Rihanna appeared on the cover of Vogue Arabia’s November issue, looking like a total Egyptian queen in her Nefertiti inspired look. ‘Simply iconic. This November @badgalriri pays homage to Queen Nefertiti,’ the publication captioned the photo of the cover on Instagram.
All of the beautiful photographs were taken by Greg Kadel.
The superstar was definitely the right person for this photo shoot considering she has a tattoo of Nefertiti on the left side of her torso.
Rihanna rocked a see-through dress, a royal blue coat and a matching headdress in the pictures.
Nefertiti was a ruler of Egypt who is now considered an icon of both power and feminine beauty in the world.
Her name actually means ‘the beautiful one has come.’
‘Rihanna is the modern queen Nefertiti: powerful, intelligent, extremely beautiful, innovative, and revolutionary. I wanted something that had not been done with Rihanna before even though she makes bold, amazing fashion choices. I wanted to find something special, and it was important for the concept to fit within the Middle Eastern market,’ the one who styled the singer for the photo session, Anya Ziourova said earlier in the week.
