As it was previously reported, Rihanna’s home in the Hollywood mansion was robbed this morning. The LAPD claims that the individual spent the night in her house while she was gone, and following their arrival, the perpetrator was arrested on residential burglary and trespassing charges.
According to the reports, the alarm system went off and alerted the police, and the singer was not present during the invasion. A source close to the star explained, “this kind of thing is actually pretty normal when you’re a celebrity.”
“When you’re constantly working and on the road, especially when active on social media, people know that you’re not home and target you for all kinds of things.”
The insider added, “obviously, the case against Kim Kardashian was the biggest one. She’s all over social media all of the time. People know where she is, and because of that, she was an easy target.”
The source went on to say, “Rihanna isn’t that worried about it, to be honest. It is what it is. She’ll just get a better security system for next time.”
Ri-Ri bought the home back in August 2017 for around $6.8 million. The news of the break-in is just a couple of days after she served as the “co-chair” for the Met Gala in New York City.
As you may know, last year, 2017, was especially heinous regarding celebrity break-ins. There were a number of incidents reported to the police.
Many celebrities had their homes broken into including Anthony Young, Nicki Minaj, Cesar Milano, and Nicki Minaj. The LAPD stated that they thought it was a particular group of people committing the crimes.
