As fans may know already, Rihanna was really upset after Snapchat ran an ad that made reference to the infamous 2009 attack by her boyfriend at the time Chris Brown! She slammed the app for mocking the domestic abuse.
However, sources claim that the whole scandal has brought the exes closer together.
So what does Chris think about the controversial Snapchat ad?
‘Rihanna is mad as hell about this, she truly cannot believe a company would sink this low. She is not in the habit of talking to Chris anymore, but this did bring them back together. She called him right away about this, and they discussed how to handle things. And they are not done talking either because there are people in Rihanna’s camp who want her to take legal action. She and Chris have to ultimately decide if that is worth it or not, but Rihanna is happy that they are both on the same page about this BS and how wrong it is.’
The whole drama started after a user noticed how problematic their ad for a ‘Would You Rather’ game really was.
The question the ad asked seemed to make light of the violent attack that Rihanna was a victim of.
Soon after, Snapchat released an apology, claiming the ad was mistakenly approved, but that did not make the situation any better.
Rihanna took to Instagram to post a story in which she said: ‘Now SNAPCHAT I know you already know you are not my fave app out there! But I am just trying to figure out what the point was with this mess! I would love to call it ignorance, but I know you are not that dumb!’
‘You spent money to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to domestic violence victims and made a joke out of it!! This is not about my personal feelings, cause I don’t have much of them…but all of the women, children, and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who have not made it out yet…you let us down! Shame on you. Throw the whole app-oligy away.’
