During season ten of the Real Housewives of New York City, fans watched the friendship between Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill completely disintegrate before their eyes, but it was never really clear why things had gotten so bad. So when it was time for the reunion, we were hoping to get some answers when the women came face-to-face — and we definitely did.
So, what went wrong for these former besties? Frankel and Radziwill admitted during part two of the reunion that it all began last summer before they started shooting season 10. Unlike the year before when the two women spent most of the summer together, last year they were on opposite coasts, with Frankel in New York and Radziwill in California to be with her friend Cassandra who had just lost her husband.

Radziwill explained that when she got back to New York, she and Frankel saw each other and communicated like they normally did, but Frankel said that she could sense something was different about their friendship.
“I did think there was a little shift, but it’s happened in many friendships where something happens, and it goes away,” Frankel explained. “So I think that we were a little bit on different pages. I could feel it during the summer because the summer before I think we had spent a lot of time together and this one we didn’t because of both of our parts.”
According to The Daily Dish, the Skinnygirl mogul said that Radziwill seemed distant when they spent time together in Montauk, and then when they were in L.A. together, she felt left out of Radziwill’s dinners with her girlfriends. But Radziwill said she didn’t leave Frankel out, but instead, they were intimate dinners for a grieving friend.
Bethenny and I are not friends. If we were she knows where I'd be. But she threw all that away last year for a TV show.

Radziwill added that she saw Frankel many times, and she was trying to plan a long weekend for the two so they could go to the Golden Door Spa. She also asked friends to borrow private planes for Frankel’s Puerto Rico Mission because she wanted to help and she was proud of Frankel.
But Radziwill said things took a major turn for the worse when Frankel talked with Dorinda Medley about Adam Kenworthy (Radziwill’s on-again, off-again boyfriend) refusing to photograph Frankel’s disaster relief efforts unless he got paid. Radziwill says that stunned her because when people say nasty things about Kenworthy, Frankel is supposed to shut it down.
Frankel then explained that she did try to fix the situation when she realized Radziwill was still friends with Kenworthy, but at the time she thought they had broken up.

Host Andy Cohen then added that it looked like Frankel and Radziwill would have conversations, but there was a lot of miscommunication, and they wanted to get things back to normal. However, they could never get back on track. Radziwill said that she wanted things back to the way they were, but Frankel didn’t because she was ready for the friendship to be over.
Bethenny Frankel denied the accusation, but at that point, the tension between the women continued to escalate.
The drama between Frankel and Carole Radziwill will continue on part three of the Real Housewives of New York City reunion Wednesday night on Bravo.
