Not too many people were surprised to learn that LuAnn de Lesseps had fallen off the wagon, but one of her Real Housewives of New York stars actually predicted it. On the most recent episode of RHONY, Dorinda Medley revealed that she knew de Lesseps would start drinking again because she never planned on staying sober.
With the cameras rolling, Medley explained that de Lesseps told her up front that she would start drinking as soon as she was out of rehab. As fans will recall, de Lesseps entered a rehab facility after she was arrested for drunken and disorderly conduct in Florida.
The incident happened over Christmas and it only took de Lesseps a few months to break her sobriety. Earlier this month, she revealed that she had checked into another rehab facility for a second time this year.

The drama started after de Lesseps slammed Medley for drinking too many margaritas at dinner. Medley fired back by making fun of de Lesseps’ arrest and saying that she shouldn’t be giving advice on drinking. De Lesseps eventually walked out and discussed the incident with Bethenny Frankel.
“I’m sick to my stomach,” de Lesseps spilled to her RHONY co-star. “She called me a convict. Her true colors just came out.”
In response, Frankel assured de Lesseps that Medley is the one who can’t control her liquor. This is despite the fact that de Lesseps is facing serious charges after her scandal in Florida.
In addition to being drunk in public, the reality star assaulted a police officer. She recently appeared before a judge in Florida where she asked for a probation in exchange for a reduced sentence. A ruling has yet to be announced, but it is possible that de Lesseps is slapped with jail time for her actions.

While de Lesseps is clearly struggling to turn her life around, at least she’s seeking help. Earlier this month, Frankel released a statement on de Lesseps’ behalf that confirmed her second stint in rehab. The statement revealed that de Lesseps was getting the support she needed from family and friends as she continues her road to sobriety.
The letter also revealed that de Lesseps decided not to make an appearance during the reunion this season, which means we won’t hear her side of the story anytime soon.
New episodes of the Real Housewives of New York air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
Dorinda Medley revealed she was heartbroken over her fight with LuAnn de Lesseps, but still feels like she is owed an apology.
