Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley recently revealed that she thinks she looks like royalty. The 53-year-old told Radar Online that when she lived in London, people would always tell her that she looked like Princess Diana, including Di herself.
Medley recently chopped off her blonde locks and lightened them “for a more dramatic look,” and to give it a more curvy, cultured flow.
“Now, I go to Spoke & Weal in SoHo. Dhiran Mistry does my cut. He’s a genius,” Medley explained. “And Colleen Flaherty, who does my color, is a visionary.”
Twenty-five years after she told friends in her 1983 high school yearbook to “watch out,” Medley is living large and is proud of her personal stylists.
She recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to talk about her time on RHONY, and even though her drinking has led to some funny moments on the show, Medley has no tolerance for the accusations from her co-stars that she has a problem.
Medley says that Bethenny Frankel calling her a “drunk” this past season is “the most ridiculous thing,” and people have seen the way that she runs her life, which Medley says is “wonderful.” She made it clear that she doesn’t have a drinking problem and “we got to stop that topic.”
The reality star also said that if she needs to stop drinking on TV, then she will do that, but she also pointed out that Frankel and her other co-stars are big drinkers themselves. Medley explained that there are “a lot of pots calling the kettle black,” and she doesn’t think Frankel or anyone else on the show is in a position to talk that way.
She added that RHONY would be a “sh**show” if they drug up every time someone drank on the popular series. Medley says it would be “one big rehab,” so she thinks that her castmates are just taking the opportunity to point the finger instead of looking at themselves.

Luann de Lesseps has also questioned Medley’s drinking, and in a recent episode that led to an explosive battle between the two. At the time, de Lesseps was sober, but she had just left a 27-day stint in rehab, and Medley didn’t think de Lesseps had any right to give her a lecture.
“I had a couple drinks, I’m happy. But I’m not like crazy,” Medley said. “If you don’t want to drink, that’s fine. I’m okay. Don’t judge me, worry about yourself.”
Dorinda Medley fired back at de Lesseps, saying she wouldn’t be sober for long. She said that the Countess would be “drinking in three months,” and she has since checked herself into rehab for the second time.
