Last week Real Housewives of New York City star Carole Radziwill said she was leaving the show after six seasons, and a new report claims that the producers are already looking for her replacement. Will the next big star of the show be a lot younger than the current cast?
“Producers are always looking for great new cast members and have several people in mind to replace Carole. [But] it’s becoming the real grandmas of New York,” joked an insider. “Producers want to turn back the clock and find ladies a decade younger.”
Producers believe the ideal new cast members would be in their late 30’s and early 40’s, plus they would already be successful and famous. The tabloid’s insider pointed out that RHONY started ten years ago, and the current cast has aged right along with the popular reality show. Luann de Lesseps is 53, Ramona Singer is 61, and Bethenny Frankel is 47.

And, even though the continuing dating drama keeps ratings high, the source says that producers would like to cast someone who is actually married — a real housewife.
Rumors have swirled for months that Jill Zarin could be returning to the show, but she recently revealed that coming back as a full-time cast member is not an option for her. However, she wouldn’t mind popping up from time to time as a friend of the show. She says that she does have the time to do that, and she thinks that de Lesseps needs her.
As for Radziwill, she has said that she left to focus on other projects and her journalism career. However, the icy relations between her and Frankel allegedly contributed to her decision to go, as well. But, it looks like Radziwill isn’t the only one that has problems with the SkinnyGirl mogul.

Insiders say that no one in the Real Housewives of New York City cast likes Frankel because she talks trash about everyone, plus she is toxic and negative.
However, everyone tries to stay on good terms with her because they want to avoid trouble.
Apparently, Frankel’s success outside of RHONY has led her to act high and mighty around everyone else in the cast, and she won’t acknowledge the other women’s success — neither before or after their time on Housewives.
When Carole Radziwill announced her departure from the show, she said she was happy to say goodbye to frenemies. We can’t help but think that was a shot a Frankel.
New episodes of Real Housewives of New York air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
