Teresa Giudice does not want anything to do with her husband’s deportation. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is reportedly afraid to film any scenes about Joe Giudice’s deportation, despite Bravo offering her a huge bonus to open up about his case.
An inside source claims that producers offered Teresa a whopping $500,000 to talk about the deportation on camera. But after carefully considering the ramifications — and discussing things with her lawyer — Teresa decided it was best to not bring up the deportation when the cameras are rolling.
“Teresa refused to film any special scenes because the attorney told her not to do anything until the final decision is made,” an insider dished. “She’s terrified to do anything to harm Joe.”
A judge ordered Joe’s deportation a few weeks ago. He has until the beginning of November to win an appeal. If the appeal falls through, authorities will send Joe back to Italy. According to Radar Online, Teresa opened up about Joe’s case at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino over the weekend.
The RHONJ star pleaded with fans to pray for Joe and her family that the deportation is overturned, and he can return home.
Apart from her most recent comments, Teresa has been tight-lipped about her husband’s case. Sources say she is terrified to talk about the deportation because she is afraid that her words will harm Joe’s case.
While Teresa remains mostly silent on the matter, her daughter, Milania Giudice, visited Joe shortly after the deportation was upheld. An insider says that Milania and Joe have a tight relationship and that the family was surprised when Teresa refused to visit him behind bars.
Joe’s prison sentence ends this coming March. But instead of returning home after serving 41 months behind bars, the RHONJ star is scheduled to be deported after he gets out. Although Joe was born in Italy, his parents moved to the United States when he was only 1 years old. Joe was sent to prison after being convicted of fraud. His appeal to overturn the deportation is November 9.
