Real Housewives of Dallas star D’Andra Simmons has revealed that she and co-star LeeAnne Locken are calling it quits on their friendship — at least for now. Simmons recently told Us Weekly that even though they still see each other “out” and about, they need some time away from each other.
“We’re just kind of taking a break from our friendship,” Simmons said. “We’ve had a lot of different things happen with regards to our relationship this year, and I think we just needed some breathing room.”
Simmons joined the RHOD cast in season two, but she and Locken — an original cast member — had been friends for a long time. However, the two got into an argument during the season three cast trip to Copenhagen, and she says the problems they have had this year have “really surprised” her.

The 49-year-old explained that she and Locken got into “a little altercation” in Copenhagen, and this year she is fighting with everyone. She says it looks like Locken has “passed the wand” to her.
Now that they have had a falling out, Simmons says she isn’t sure about what is happening with Locken and her longtime love Rich Emberlin. She says that once you have distance from someone, you start losing information about their lives because you aren’t privy to it. But, she says that Locken and Emberlin have been together for ten years, and they know each other well. So, if they want to get married, they will.
Simmons did add that she thought the couple had originally planned their wedding for October, but now it is “supposedly set for April 2019,” but it will be eclipsed by her 50th birthday. She joked that her birthday is much more exciting and important.
As for Locken’s fractured relationship with Cary Deuber, they seem to have had a breakthrough after the two met up and Locken apologized for threatening to strangle Deuber last season.

As RHOD fans remember, Locken made the threat after Deuber made some negative comments about her plastic surgeon. She also suggested that Deuber’s husband had been sexually active with other men. When Deuben found out about Locken’s remarks, the two had a war of words, but even though Locken apologized, Deuber didn’t seem open to it.
But that all changed in the season three premiere when the two met for coffee. Locken apologized again, and the had a toast to “being honest.” However, they just want to be on decent terms, but that doesn’t mean they are going to be close friends.
“You and I are moving forward, not backwards,” said Locken.
