Vicki Gunvalson got zero love on Mother’s Day. Gunvalson was in the middle of filming Season 13 of the Real Housewives of Orange County when her son-in-law, Ryan Culberson, slammed her on social media for being a bad grandmother. How did the OG of the OC react to the accusations?
The family drama heated up after Ryan took to Instagram and criticized Gunvalson for not spending time with her grandsons, Owen and Troy. Gunvalson had just commented on one of Ryan’s family photos when he put her on blast for never being around. Ryan is married to Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, who has made frequent appearances on the show.
“Your grandkids tried to FaceTime you 20 times yesterday. Glad to see you’re still alive!” Ryan wrote in response to Gunvalson’s post, which simply stated, “Miss you guys.”
Ryan later revealed that Gunvalson blocked him and stopped following him on social media. Gunvalson has not responded to Ryan’s comments, but her fellow RHOC co-star Kelly Dodd defended her on social media. Dodd told fans not to believe Ryan and that Gunvalson is a great grandmother to her daughter’s boys.
According to Reality Blurb, Gunvalson used to be very close to Ryan and Briana. That changed when the couple moved the entire family to North Carolina. The pair relocated in order to live a simpler life with their boys.
In a recent interview, Briana revealed that they are happy in their new home and enjoy being away from the cameras. She also confessed that she was miserable living in Orange County and has always had dreams of living in a different part of the country.
It is pretty safe to say that Gunvalson wasn’t happy about the move. But it is good to hear that Briana and her family are doing better now that they are living in North Carolina. Even more, Briana claims that her health is better now that she is living on the East Coast, so at least she’s getting her life back in order and is happy with how everything turned out.
Production for Season 13 of the Real Housewives of Orange County should be wrapping up in the coming weeks. The series is expected to return to Bravo later this year.
Vicki Gunvalson has not commented on the drama surrounding her and Ryan, but there is a good chance the feud makes it on the show next season.
