At last month’s Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special, the ladies discussed Vicki Gunvalson’s trip to the emergency room while they were in Iceland. They also talked about the medication she took before she got to the hospital, which included an Adderall and Xanax from Kelly Dodd and Nyquil from Peggy Sulahian.
It was a conversation with no arguments or fancy edits, no assumptions, and nothing taken out of context. They talked about it and then moved on to the next subject. So why is Gunvalson now denying it all?
The day after the special aired, producer and host Andy Cohen tweeted about Gunvalson’s drug admission, exclaiming that fans now knew everything that happened. All About Tea attempted to bring the tweet to everyone’s attention, but it’s not until now that people are noticing.
That’s because Gunvalson replied to the tweet weeks later with a simple, “not true.”
Gunvalson’s tweet made her look bad because viewers saw the conversation and she knows that. So why would she try to convince fans that it isn’t true? Is it because she regrets revealing she took pills? Could it be because she is trying to start drama to secure a spot for season 13?
Per Page Six, Gunvalson may not be returning next season because producers are looking for new cast members, and she doesn’t want to come back if there are new faces.
The OG of the OC ended last season on a high note when she and Judge ended their long-running feud, and she also made up with Shannon Beador, but an insider says it was emotional because Gunvalson told the ladies she is not planning on coming back.
The 55-year-old is the only cast member who has been on the show since it started.
The Daily Dish reports that Cohen also tweeted after the reunion about Gunvalson reconciling with Judge and Beador, writing he was thrilled that they were breaking down walls and the reconciliation was very real.
Cohen himself got emotional when Gunvalson showed her support for Beador after she announced her divorce. And, that ended up being the moment that started the goodwill between the friends-turned-enemies who are now friends again.
Besides Gunvalson possibly not returning, Judge may be leaving the show, too. She has had issues with her daughter, who doesn’t want anything to do with reality television, and may leave the show so she can attempt to mend their relationship.
Real Housewives of Orange County may look completely different next season, but fans are going to have to wait to find out who’s returning and who isn’t.
Vicki Gunalson has not revealed if she plans on returning for Season 13 if she is invited back or not.
