Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has been on a major health kick since she split from her ex-husband David Beador last fall. She has lost more than 30 pounds by hitting the gym on a daily basis, but the other part of the weight loss equation is eating clean, and the reality star has made it profitable to stick to a healthy diet.
According to Bravo’s The Feast, earlier this year Beador launched a line of prepared frozen meals called Real For Real, for QVC, and they all have 450 calories or less.
“With the QVC food line, I’ve launched a healthy, lower-calorie food line. And so, I’m in the kitchen a lot trying to fine-tune my recipes for more meals, and so I’m eating a lot better,” said Beador.
The final photos from the @qvc photo shoot… I am on an amazing ride and am so grateful for all the incredible things that are happening! ❤️ I am so excited that Real For Real Cuisine veggie burgers have been nominated “Best Burger” in the 2018 QVC Customer Food Choice Award! ? And, it looks like her recipe for veggie burgers is so good, that she has received a nomination for Best Burger in the 2018 QVC Customer Food Choice Awards. Beador shared the news earlier this week in an Instagram post, and she urged fans to vote for her burger by adding a link in the caption. Beador’s veggie burger is the only meat-free option in the category.
Beador’s food line offers the burger in three different flavors — Classic, Santa Fe (which has black beans and peppers), and Real California (with jalapeno and avocado).
Real For Real has been a successful business venture so far for Beador, and she has thought about opening a restaurant and even looked for a location, but since she no longer has a financial commitment from David, her plans are temporarily on hold.
Money has been a big issue in Shannon and David’s divorce. Their 17-year marriage came to an end last year, and she says she just wants him out of her life and she no longer feels anything for him. But on the most recent RHOC episode, she did feel hurt when she came face to face with David in court, and he got angry over the judge ordering him to pay Shannon $22,500 a month in temporary child and spousal support.
The events played out in a California court last March, and the judge originally ordered David to pay $30,000 a month, but Shannon and her attorney proposed a smaller amount because she felt bad. She told Tamra Judge that she settled on $22,500 because that is what she needed and raising three kids in California is expensive.
But even though Shannon attempted to be kind, during a break David approached her and her lawyer in the hallway and “went off” on them. Shannon Beador thinks that her ex got angry because he no longer had control over her and her finances.
New episodes of Real Housewives of Orange County air Monday nights on Bravo.
