Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd is back on the market after confirming on social media that her divorce from Michael Dodd is now final. But, that’s not all she had to say to her 87,000 followers. Kelly slammed her co-star Vicki Gunvalson and boyfriend Steve Lodge after learning that they set up Michael with another woman.
Kelly tweeted this past week that she was “over the moon happy” now that her divorce from Michael is behind her, but she couldn’t help but get upset over the news that Lodge is helping Michael move on.
“Kelly is mad because she believes this report that Vicki and Steve set Kelly’s ex up with the new girl he is dating and she feels betrayed by Vicki,” claims an insider.
The source went on to say that Michael and Lodge are very good friends, and Lodge asked his friend and girlfriend to not tell Kelly about the setup. Gunvalson did honor her word and not tell her co-star because she thought it was Michael’s job to give her the news.
It isn’t clear how Kelly found out about the new girlfriend, but she was obviously not happy. She tweeted (and then deleted), “@pagesix Steve Lodge is a douche bag along with his pig of a GF!! And I am 42 years old not 44 years old!”
But, it’s not just the news of a new woman that has caused a feud between the exes.
Court documents cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the Dodd’s divorce, but reports have surfaced that infidelity may have also played a factor.
Apparently, Kelly believes Michael was having an affair with a 25-year-old throughout their entire marriage.
The couple initially filed for divorce in 2012, but they decided to reconcile and give their marriage another chance. However, after calling the cops 11 times in one year to their home in Newport Beach, California, it was clear that it was time for them to part ways.
But even though their divorce is final, the former couple is still fighting over finances and their daughter, Jolie.
Both Kelly and Michael are filing an Income and Expense Declaration, and they are arguing over the division of property. When it comes to their daughter, Michael will be paying for health insurance, and they will share all other expenses.
Bravo has yet to announce a premiere date for the new season of Real Housewives of Orange County, but it will most likely return later this spring.
Surely this feud between former besties Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson will be a prominent storyline.
