Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has made her fight to lose weight a major storyline this season, but it seems the 53-year-old may be losing the battle. After gaining 40 pounds due to claims of stress caused by co-star Vicki Gunvalson, Beador is struggling to return to her former size.
The mother of three appeared this week on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to hand out this year’s Housewives Awards, and weight loss experts are saying that she looks bigger than she has ever been.
Celebrity trainer Charlene Ciardiello said Beador doesn’t appear to have lost any weight at all, even after the reality star claimed she was working hard with a trainer to shed the pounds.
Ciardiello, who is the CEO of shutupandmove, added that Beador was covering up her larger figure by wearing black, which is a common move when people are trying to hide extra pounds.
In August, Radar published photos of the reality star where she claimed to have lost ten pounds, but the website reported it wasn’t true.
Now, two months later, she looks even bigger, and Ciardiello says that if she was really working out and eating right, she would be losing one to two pound a week, resulting in at least a 15-pound weight loss by now. And, that’s obviously not the case. Ciardiello hasn’t worked with the reality star, but she says it doesn’t seem that Beador is committed to a routine.
The weight struggle isn’t the only thing Beador faces right now; she is also going through a divorce from her husband of twenty years, David.
Two years ago, he cheated on Beador with Nicole McMackin, and the marriage is reportedly so miserable that the two are calling it quits.
The divorce has led Beador to reconcile with her friend and fellow housewife Kelly Dodd, who is divorcing her husband, Michael.
They each know what the other is going through, plus they share a love for alcohol, so they’ve put their differences aside and are supporting one another during their breakups.
