It looks like, sadly enough, 2017 has been the year during which a lot of celebrities have gotten their houses robbed. Now, as we approach the new year, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards joins the long list of home invasion victims.
According to a spokesperson, on Thursday at around 11 A.M., L.A.P.D. officers received a burglary report at the block of 1700 Rancho Street in Encino.
At the time, there we no other details about the incident and nobody had been taken into custody.
Despite the fact that the police department refused to confirm the burglary victim was Richards, we have learned that the woman’s house was broken into on Wednesday night and no less than $1 million worth of jewelry was stolen.
Richards and Umansky were and still are vacationing in Aspen, so they were not at home when the crime took place.
Apparently, the security alarm was not on when they entered the reality TV star’s house, but the thief or thieves managed to trigger one closet sensor while robbing the place.
Later on, it was the housekeeper who discovered the home had been burglarized.
In a previous interview, Richards talked about her move to L.A.’s San Fernando Valley and how much she loves her brand new house.
‘I was renovating my house because I could not find a house that I fell in love with. And then I saw this house – it was actually one of my husband’s listings – and I say to him, ‘I want to go look at this house to look at their floors,’ because I was redoing my floors at the time and he said, ‘Oh, I will go with you,’’ the woman recalled.
She went on: ‘We entered this house, and I went, ‘Oh my gosh,’ I was blown away, because it is not like anything you’d see in L.A., normally. I just fell in love, and my husband did, as well.’
