Former America’s Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille made her debut last week as the newest cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and came in with a splash. Eva started her appearance by accusing longtime star Cynthia Bailey’s new boyfriend, Will Jones, of already having a girlfriend.
According to Eva, she only met Will two months ago but at the time he introduced her to a woman that he called his “girlfriend.”
As the show then reminded us, that would’ve been right around the time Cynthia and Will were out on their second date together.
A frustrated Will denied the allegations but now he’s speaking out in a new interview, giving a clearer defense against what Eva has to say about his love life.
“That completely threw me off because when I first met [Eva], I only met her for like 10 minutes and the rest of the time was with her now-fiancé talking about the things I wanted to do for the kids in Chicago because he used to be a prosecutor in Chicago.”
Will says he was thrown when Eva came out and said that he had a girlfriend, thinking to himself, “‘You know I didn’t have a girlfriend. Why are you saying this?'”
He also claims the photograph of himself with the alleged girlfriend proves nothing because it doesn’t say she’s his girlfriend and he claims he never said that either.
Will also accuses the show of ambushing him with the allegation and of taking things out of context with the use of some clever editing.
According to Will, Cynthia told him in the beginning that she didn’t want to date exclusively and he agreed, though he was not dating anyone else at the time.
At any rate, it appears the relationship will not be lasting for much longer on the show, as Will now says, “I keep up with Cynthia. We’re good friends.”
