Redmond O’Neal pleaded “not guilty” on the 11th of May, Friday, after police arrested him for robbing a convenience store in Santa Monica at the beginning of the week. A source who spoke with Us Weekly confirmed the news.
O’Neal pleaded “not guilty” to assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree robbery; and possession of a smoking device, an injection/ingestion device, as well as a controlled substance.
According to reports, Redmond O’Neal is the son of Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, who passed away on the same day as Michael Jackson, June 25th, 2009.
Because of the star power of the late Michael Jackson, not a lot of people even realized Farrah had passed away. Michael’s death had simply overshadowed the news of Fawcett’s. As for O’Neal, 33, the LAPD claims he entered the store with a knife, approached the clerk, and then demanded money from them.
He left the store and when the police eventually caught him, he had the knife as well as a sum of cash in his pockets. On Friday, the court set his bail at $125,000. However, unfortunately for him, it wasn’t as simple as giving up the money owed.
They placed his bail on hold because of a violation of parole back in 2016.
Additionally, back in 2008, the police picked him up for a DUI and drug possession, as well as possession of heroin in 2011.
The court and jury sentenced him to three years in state prison in 2015 for violating his probation. But, because of good behavior, he got the opportunity to leave early and was seen again walking the streets in September 2016. Either way, it doesn’t look like O’Neal is doing well these days.
