The son of the late Farah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal, Redmond O’Neal, is going to jail after the court and jury convicted him on charges of attempted murder and assault after he almost killed two people during several attacks in Los Angeles.
The LAPD began investigating the area when they received reports of a redhaired white male attempting to rob victims.
According to multiple reports, Redmond attacked five different people and seriously injured two of the victims. The police arrested Redmond on the 8th of May after he was identified as a suspect in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven.
Following the incidents, the police linked O’Neal to the crime spree, which soon came to a halt after they picked him up and held him in their custody. In a press statement released to the public from the LAPD, the detectives from the Pacific Area stood before the court on the 8th of June and presented their evidence.
O’Neal faced off against two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal threats, one count of attempted murder, and one count of brandishing a knife, as well as another count of battery.
The only son of the Charlies Angels’ alum is currently sitting in the LAPD Department’s precinct. The police allege that Redmond stabbed one person, cut their face, as well as their upper body.
Another person suffered a serious stab wound to the left side of their body. As it was previously reported, O’Neal pleaded guilty on the 11th of May to robbing a store in Santa Monica.
O’Neal pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, which were numerous. The police also charged him with possession of drugs including the possession of a smoking device.
This isn’t the first time O’Neal has got himself into trouble either. Back in 2008, the police nabbed him on a DUI and drug possession charge, and again in 2011 for obtaining heroin. They sentenced him to three years in a state prison, but they released him the following year.
