Rene Boucher, one of Senator Rand Paul’s neighbors, violently attacked him at his home in Kentucky.
Despite the fact that a human being was physically hurt in this story, the divide continues in this country and Republicans are angry, and some Democrats are celebrating and calling Boucher a hero.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Dr. Boucher, 59, a proud democrat, ambushed Mr. Paul as he was mowing his lawn.
No other details have been given other than the fact that the politician suffered minor injuries. The FBI is also investigating the matter.
Some reports suggest that the attack was not politically motivated.
Local media outlets claimed that Paul and Boucher had a bitter ongoing feud.
What is odd is that Paul and Boucher’s children appear to be close friends on Facebook at least.
A statement from Paul’s office said, he was shocked by the incident and that Boucher had been arrested for his actions.
A pro-Donald Trump commenter shared his thoughts on the story saying: “Like Evil Next Door on ID channel.Hmm…I wonder WHY on Earth somebody would wanna smack him.
Maybe it wasn’t political-just 2 ahole neighbors who couldn’t agree on anything. On the best things that”s been said, now we need to follow through and get it done. Let Trump do what he needs to do quit resisting him. And for all you that are going to come a million times about your hate for Trump it’s not going to stop me from realizing that he’s the man to get it done. One race of people not several, I refuse to agree or disagree with a Man based upon his color, but you have to be smart.”
A liberal added: “And there it is! The bowling Green massacre!
Should be a wake-up call for him hope he opposes bail reform after this! Could’ve been worse if bail reform passed. Let me add that the US is such a mess with its gun problem, its racial tension, its expensive healthcare, its insane judicial system, its unpredictable and reactionary president, its tendency to start wars with poorer nations, its polarizing two-party political system, and its blind nationalism, you who love the country so much can keep it. I will happily not be allowed to go there.”
A neutral voice stepped in to say: “Wow, the comments on here show exactly why this stuff keeps happening. For all you leftists here, he is the one Republican that believes in a lot of stuff you do. Economic empowerment zones, against the war on drugs… But besides ALL of that, he is a human being.”
