Project Runway has had an interesting season. Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum are celebrating the sixteenth installment of the competition that aims to find the next big fashion designer. In an episode that aired October 12, viewers finally got a resolve for the cliff-hanging end that they left off at the previous week.
Competitors Margarita Alvarez and Michael Brambila not only cost Katy Perry stylist Claire Buitendorp $25,000, but they also got her kicked off of the show when they told on her for using a tape measure outside of the workroom which is strictly not allowed.
It was an underwhelming reveal for fans who thought something much more shocking was going on.
It all started on October 5 when Margarita told all of her co-competitors that Claire was ripping off the shirt that she crafted in a previous challenge.
The accusation prompted Michael to not only agree with Margarita but add that Buitendorp and her already-eliminated twin sister steal the designs of clothes that they wore and garments that you can already find in stores.
Claire won the challenge which caused Michael to dramatically walk off stage and tell Tim Gunn that the competition was no longer fair; a statement that cued the end of the “shocking” episode.
When the show aired last night, Alvarez and Brambila teamed up to confront Claire with the fact that she measured things back at the hotel they live in.
The two claim that their intentions weren’t to get her kicked off, but social media users think otherwise.
“#designermichael and #designermargarita are snitches who should have went home weeks ago,” said one Twitter user.
“Michael and Margarita were so jealous of their horrible designs that they decided to bully Claire and create messy drama. I hate this season of #projectrunway,” said another.
Did you watch Project Runway last night? Do you think that Claire deserved to be sent home for cheating?
