Priyanka Chopra does the best she can to get women more parts in Hollywood. Following the premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival of the film she produced alongside her mother, Pahuna: The Little Visitors, the star also opened up in an interview. She mainly talked about what it felt to walk the red carpet with her mom as well as her contribution to creating content for women in the film industry.
‘We are so far behind, I mean we just had Wonder Woman, which is our first big major female superhero movie directed by a female. We have just had one director that has ever won an Academy Award who is female ever in the history of entertainment. I mean, come on!’ she stated.
The actress went on to express her gratitude towards the Toronto festival for helping the females in the film industry.
All that Priyanka wants, in the end, is for talent and skill to be recognized, regardless of gender.
Chopra is also trying to help the next generation of actresses not feel disillusioned like there are no roles for them and actually have parts for women created by women.
If nobody will help, the actress wants women to help themselves.
The Baywatch celeb also dished on Meghan Markle appearing on the cover of Vanity Fair last week and also opening up about her relationship with Prince Harry.
While she loved the photo and is also friends with the Suits actress, Priyanka thought the boyfriend talk inside the magazine’s pages should have been kept to a minimum.
After all, Markle is a philanthropist and a talented actress; she should have talked about things that really matter in society.
