Was the royal trying to keep it a surprise or is Kate Middleton not pregnant with twins after all? Was Prince William trying to throw us all off?
We can’t really imagine he would do that so we can only conclude, following his comment that they are not expecting two babies as some reports were claiming.
Fans of the royal family were definitely excited to welcome two adorable blue-blooded babies this April, but it looks like William crushed that hope.
The older Prince did his best to be as clear as possible about the rumors – unless he was playing coy after all!
I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
In the meantime, all we know is that while attending the Centrepoint Awards at Kensington Palace, Prince William opened up about becoming a father again.
That being said, in relation to the speculations that he and Kate are expecting double, William said one at a time is difficult enough!
He joked that he has been trying to get as much rest as possible before the baby arrives.
‘Our third child is due in April, I am getting as much sleep as I can,’ the royal stated while talking to Raymond Stoner – boss of Anston Properties.
Raymond then told him he might be saving some time by having twins.
‘Twins? I think my mental health would be tested with twins. Two is fine, I do not know how I am going to cope with three, I am going to be permanently tired,’ the Prince replied.
There you have it, folks! William was more surprised than us, hearing he might be having twins.
Although one insider previously claimed Kate and William ‘could not be happier about their double-baby news,’ it sounds less and less plausible by the day.
