As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are approaching their wedding day, there is no denying that the two are simply smitten with each other and that their fairytale romance is not like any other! That being said, we have learned that despite the fact that Harry is definitely one of the most desirable men in the world, he still felt like he had to impress Meghan when they first met.
Katie Nicholl, author of Harry: Life, Loss, and Love and royal expert, revealed that: ‘Harry said that when he walked into the room and saw Meghan for the very first time, he knew he had to up his game. There was this beautiful, glamorous actress, but I think it went far more than a superficial initial connection.’
‘I was told that after their first couple of dates, he knew he had met someone very special, there was an immediate connection. I think both of them knew. Was it love at first sight? I think it was.’
In case you did not know, Prince Harry and the Suits actress were set up by a mutual friend back in July of 2016.
Ever since they announced their engagement a lot of royal family fans have been very curious to learn who the person that brought them together was.
‘I was told by some of my sources that it was Violet Von Westenholz, Harry’s old friend and a relatively new friend of Meghan’s, who gave Harry Meghan’s number,’ Nicholl stated.
She went on to say that: ‘I think other people were involved in playing Cupid as well, but my sources tell me it was Violet who handed over Meghan’s number to Harry and, of course, that was the call that changed everything.’
Are you surprised Prince Harry was so keen on making a great first impression despite his status?
