Prince Harry traveled to Botswana last week to meet with the senior staff and workers of the Rhino Conservation Botswana (RCB) organization — one of his beloved charities. However, the Duke of Sussex left his wife, Meghan Markle, behind and flew solo for his “private working trip” that included taking a tour of a project in a village.
The Daily Mail is reporting that this trip is similar to the one that Prince Harry took in January where he went on a fact-finding mission to find out about the charity’s latest developments. Botswana has always been an important place to the Royal, and it is a country he knows very well. When he first started dating Markle, he took her there for a visit, and he included a stone from the country in Markle’s engagement ring that also featured diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal collection.
Botswana is working to help the entire African continent safeguard the black and white rhino population, and as the UK patron, Prince Harry takes a huge interest in RCB’s work.
“The Duke of Sussex is on a private working trip to Botswana, to join the annual general meeting for Rhino Conservation Botswana in his capacity as patron. He attended the board meeting in Maun and an RCB community project in Xarakao village,” said a Kensington Palace spokesperson.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex is back in London and dealing with the controversy surrounding her father, Thomas Markle. In his most recent interview, he said he initially lied to Prince Harry about his staged paparazzi photo scandal.
#DukeandDuchessofSussex have handled the Thomas Markle situation as well as can be expected from the wedding day until now. Perhaps they could have done more prior to, but I find no fault in their actions thereafter. They’ve remained silent, while giving him enough rope to hang+

Just days before Harry and Meghan’s wedding back in Mary, the story broke that Thomas had staged photos with paparazzi. But before the story went public, Prince Harry called him and asked if it was true. Thomas says he lied and told him, “No, I was being measured for a hoodie.”
He added that Harry warned him about the paparazzi and told him to never go to the press because it would end in tears and they would eat him alive. Thomas then admitted that Harry was right.
Thomas went on to reveal that when the news of the staged photos broke, Harry called him again while he was recovering from a heart attack and told him that the story would have never happened if he would have listened.
Thomas: ‘I’m not mad at Harry. I’m not mad at Meghan. I love them. I wish them well. But as for the rest of it, f*** it. I’m done.’
Me: Are you kidding me? So be gone already.

“Maybe it would be better for you guys if I was dead…then you could pretend to be sad,” Thomas replied,
The former Hollywood lighting director says that he hung up on the Prince after that.
Thomas has made similar comments during interviews. He once said that everyone would feel sympathy for Meghan Markle if he died, but he hopes they reconcile because he would hate to die without speaking to her again.
Prince Harry has not publicly commented on Thomas Markle’s latest claims.
