The migrant caravan has grown to approximately 7,000 people and President Donald Trump is actively tweeting about the crisis. The president also stirred controversy with a tweet that alleged criminals and unknown Middle Eastern had blended in with the refugees from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Of the three countries, President Trump has vowed to cut aid since they failed in keeping their citizens from fleeing to the United States.
The caravan reached Mexico over the weekend and President Donald Trump had hoped Mexican authorities would control the group and prevent their journey. That doesn’t seem to be the case as the mass is en route to the United States’ southern border where they are expected to cross illegally.
President DonaldTrump tweeted the following comment that has stirred controversy as people search for humanitarian and compassionate solutions to the migrant caravan.
“Sadly, it looks like Mexico’s Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States. Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in. I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergy. Must change laws!

While many Republicans and Donald Trump supporters have looked to the migrant caravan crisis as an example of why America needs to build a wall, some are expressing doubts regarding President Trump’s tweets.
Republican Senator Jeff Flake from Utah went on record sharing his views.
He stated the following when asked if he agreed with President Trump’s statement about Middle Easterns infiltrating the migrant caravan.
“No, that’s long been pretty much a canard and a fear tactic… These… are people who are either fleeing violence or looking for a better life.”
While many people agree that this is a humanitarian crisis there are those who are sharing the view that the United States should not be invaded by illegal immigrants. Some have also expressed that the situation is under the microscope due to mid-term elections.
The migrant caravan may soon experience challenges far beyond what President Donald Trump may do should they cross the border illegally. Hurricane Willa has reached a category 5 and is churning its way to Mexico and the Pacific coast. Hurricane Willa may bring catastrophic devastation throughout Mexico and put the lives of those in the caravan at grave risk.
What do you think of the migrant caravan crisis? Do you agree with President Donald Trump’s firm stance on the issue?
