Gone are the days of journalism being fair and staying out of politics and simply reporting the news without anyone knowing what side of the political aisle the reporter is on. And though the current state of journalism would have Walter Cronkite turning in his grave, President Donald Trump has taken news outlets, media pundits, and long-established newspapers head on.
In President’s Trump latest tweet, he declared CNN as dead and referred to the cable news network as fake news.
President Trump retweeted Robby Starbuck who had commented on Fox News’ ratings. He pointed out that Fox has been the number one cable news network for more than 16 years.
The tweet also pointed out that CNN has lost 25 percent 25% of their viewers according to the Tweet which originally came from a Forbes article it showed that fox has attracted more viewers in CNN especially in the younger key demographics president Trump with his tweet highlighted the belief that the public has rejected CNN president Trump has waged war against CNN since he ran for the presidency in 2016.
The statistics were released by Nielsen Media Research that tracks cable news networks viewership, the popularity of different television shows, and showed that may ratings for Fox News were statistically higher than any other network.
The results stunned many fans of the Cable News Network and MSNBC and many were surprised that Sean Hannity beat out the popular show Rachel Maddow. The results also showed a significant change between Maddow’s ratings from 2017 to just one year later 2018.

Though President Trump’s praise of Fox News may indicate favoritism for one network over another it’s also a testament to how the way we receive news has changed.
Fox News’ rating success shows that many people do prefer watching conservative-leaning news programs and commentary over those that are more democratic or have a liberal bias.
What is unclear, is if those from the left are tuning into Fox News to get news or to just see what conservative hosts and commentators are saying. Whatever the reason there is no question that when it comes to cable ratings and competition Fox News is winning the game.
What do you think? Do you prefer to get news from Fox, CNN. or are you a fan of MSNBC?
