Celebrity feuds don’t go on forever. Just ask singers Pink and Christina Aguilera who had a feud that lasted a few years but ultimately was resolved.
When the two singers were just beginning their careers, they joined Mya and Lil Kim, to remake the popular hit “Lady Marmalade” and tensions flared. It appears that they didn’t like each other or get along from the start.
Pink was recently a guest on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, where she opened up about the rift the powerful singers had when they were much younger.
Pink admitted that while they were out promoting the song, there was an altercation that occurred and Aguilera tried to punch her.
“We were super young and super new at the whole [fame] thing. I think I’m an alpha and she’s an alpha, and I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal. We just are very different, we’re very different. Woman have to learn how to support each other. It’s not taught to us on the playground,” Pink revealed to Cohen.
All is well now though as the two have since squashed their beef and Pink even appeared on The Voice alongside Aguilera as they mentored and coached up and coming talent. Pink went on to say that she has nothing but admiration and good feelings toward Aguilera. She praised her talent and said that looking back on their feud, it was really silly and funny.
They hadn’t seen each other for many years and when the time came for them to put it behind them, they did.
Pink seems to have a lot of clarity regarding the situation as a whole. She thinks that the two of them had tempers, were young, rambunctious and ambitious and maybe thought of the other as a threat.
Pink thinks that now that they’ve grown up and become mothers, they have the necessary amount of life experience and perspective to see how silly such a squabble was.
When they saw each other all those years later, they simply hugged it out. No hard feelings.
