Pete Davidson didn’t appear very shy during a performance at the Judd and Pete For America benefit in West Hollywood yesterday. The star told everyone in the audience that, “there’s a lot going on,” in his life right now.
As it was previously reported, Pete and Ariana Grande broke up last week, following several months of engagement. Before then, Ariana was dating the rapper Mac Miller, who passed away on the 7th of September due to a drug overdose.
Previously, Pete Davidson canceled his scheduled appearence at Temple University where he was supposed to perform a stand-up set. But he had to re-schedule for “personal reasons.”
On Saturday, Judd Apatow extended a nod to Pete saying, “You came out, you came out.” Davidson said that he put him on the flyer, so he had no option but to make the appearence.
Additionally, the comedian joked that he was looking for a roommate after breaking up with Ariana, whom he lived with in their multi-million-dollar NYC apartment.
According to an insider, Pete has managed to make it seem like he’s not that bothered by his breakup with Ariana, but deep down inside, he knows that he won’t get another woman like Ariana again, who is arguably one of the biggest pop stars in the world.
The source explained, “Pete is good at hiding how he’s feeling, but the truth is that he knows it’s over, and he won’t be with a woman like Ariana for the second time. It’s sad, but it’s true. He can joke about it all he wants, but that’s the way it is.”
While many people are sad to see them break up, some suggested Pete was merely a rebound from her broken romance with Mac Miller. Whether that’s true or not, remains to be seen.
