Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande got matching tattoos! The couple both got the words in French, “mille tendresse,” tattooed on the back of their necks.
It means, “a thousand tendernesses,” which comes from the movie, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, when Audrey Hepburn’s character says to Fred, “you were an angel about the whole thing. Mille tendresse.”
While most of their fans generally praised what they believed to be a cute move, others were less sympathetic. One person wrote, “That might be the cheesiest s**t I’ve ever seen in my entire life, and I award neither of them any points, whatsoever.”
You can check out the Instagram posts below to see for yourself. In the first picture, you can see the small tattoo right beneath Davidson’s blonde hair. The picture of Ariana Grande’s neck features the tattoo in the same location.
Reportedly, Pete was the one to copy Ariana, because she got the word tatted on her body back in 2014, four years ago. Additionally, Davidson got a tattoo of the baby pig the pair adopted recently.
This comes after Ariana Grande suffered an onslaught of social media trolls who blamed the death of Mac Miller, her ex-boyfriend, on her. Mac died near the beginning of September, and since then, the hip-hop community, as well as the broader music scene, has been reeling.
Ariana Grande and Pete got engaged just a few months after she and Mac finally split up. Interestingly, the time that it took for them to reveal their engagement was very suspicious to some of their fans, with a few suggesting she may have been cheating.
Regardless, when Mac passed away at his home, a lot of people laid the responsibility for his passing on her, insinuating that their breakup and his DUI is what led to him taking too many drugs and subsequently succumbing to an overdose.
