After their insensitive posts on social media following the Florida school shooting, we have learned that Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason might lose their Teen Mom jobs. As fans definitely know, the reality TV couple shared a pic that featured the woman holding a massive rifle gun just hours after the tragedy.
Now, fans of the popular show started a petition to have Jenelle and David fired from MTV!
‘My babe’s a bad ass babe! Happy Valentine’s Day! #targetpractice #valentinesday #safetyfirst,’ David captioned the photo that showed a black-wearing Jenelle posing with the gun.
But while Evans decided to delete the pic after noticing the backlash, David just turned off the comments on Instagram.
To spite people, even more, the man proceeded to make the insensitive pic his Twitter profile photo!
When social media users sarcastically questioned if he’s turned on the TV, radio or anything for that matter to learn about the tragedy, David replied: ‘What do you think I sit around all day watching TV to check the news before I post a picture… um no b***h.’
Evans tried to save the situation by writing ‘bad timing.’
To make matters worse, Eason posted a meme that read: ‘Legal gun owners have over 200M guns and 12 trillion rounds of ammo. Seriously people, if we were a problem you would know it.’
‘Everyone needs to focus on keeping their families protected and safe instead of focusing on how to deplete our country of its self-protection rights!’ he argued.
As a result, a petition to get the husband and wife fired was started, stating that their ‘digusting pictures’ displayed ‘gross insensitivity’ for the tragedy.
‘David posted photos of his wife, Jenelle Eason, holding and aiming a rifle, the very same weapon the gunman used in the Florida massacre. When questioned on Twitter about why he’d post such photos after this tragedy, he attacked several women, calling them ‘b*****s’ and ‘h**s’ and using other threatening and abusive language. These people need to be reprimanded for their actions. We urge all of you to sign this petition to get them removed from MTV and fired from ‘Teen Mom 2,’ the petition’s description reads.
