Paris Jackson took to social media to make some things very clear about her grandfather Joe Jackson and his recent Twitter activity. Here’s what she had to say! Yesterday, one tweet was shared by Joe’s account, but now, Paris is claiming that it couldn’t have been him posting it.
It featured a picture of the patriarch watching the sunset and was captioned: ‘I have seen many more sunsets than I’ve left to see. The sun always rises when the time comes, and you like it or not it sets when the time comes.’
This ominous post seems to be related to the reports that Joe’s latest hospitalization was for his terminal cancer.
‘This is a very beautiful tweet. Although it upsets me to see whoever’s in charge of his account taking advantage of it. My grandfather did not tweet this. I’m not sure if he’s ever used this account,’ Paris wrote.
She went on to also say that she feels ‘blessed to have a family that comes together the way the Jacksons do. Thank you for the love you have sent during this time.’
Aside from Paris, Joe’s son Jermaine Jackson has also addressed the rumors about the old man’s diagnosis.
‘On the new story re Joseph. I would like to be clear: I have no problem speaking up when it comes to the well-being of this family, but a journalist called me with information he clearly already had about my father. I confirmed certain details but ‘revealed’ nothing.’
He also said that although his ‘father’s health is not good, dying is a pretty harsh word picked by the headline writers. For however long he has left, my mother, my siblings, and our relatives want to be with him, without hindrance.’
