Former Baywatch actress and animal rights activist Pamela Anderson has sought help in getting Julian Assange freed from none other than Kanye West. Anderson whose friendship with the Wikileaks founder is widely known wrote a letter to West asking his assistance in getting Assange out of the Ecuadorian Embassy located in London. TMZ obtained a copy of the letter and published it on their site.
According to the document, Anderson is hoping that Kanye can create awareness surrounding Julian Assange’s situation that will, in turn, lead to his freedom.
Public response to Pamela Anderson’s letter has been mixed with many people questioning what she expects Kanye West to do. West has been the subject of public discussion and debate as he has recently come forward in support of President Trump.
Anderson’s letter did not mention the possibility of Kanye West speaking to President Trump on Julian Assange’s behalf. She did say that Kanye is a voice for the young generation and they listen to him while saying he needs more exposure in America.

Pamela Anderson wrote the following in her letter to Kanye West.
“I was wondering about your thoughts on Julian Assange. I support him and know you value free speech. Visibility is good for him, especially in America. Where they are trying to put him away for life or worse for exposing corruption in governments. I think they are trying to kill him. It is torture.”
Many people quickly pointed out that Julian Assange chose to seek asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy and is free to leave at any moment. If Assange were to step outside the Embassy, he would most likely be taken into custody immediately. Julian Assange has stated multiple times he fears being extradited to the United States where he could face multiple counts of criminal charges.
Julian Assange came under fire and was accused of interfering in other countries’ elections by the messages he tweeted. Ecuador has since cut off his Internet access, took away his ability to use the phone and have cut off his visitors. His official Twitter account is now operated by his legal team.
What do you think? Should Kanye West get involved in Julian Assange’s fight for freedom?
