A lot happened within three months. In the latest issue of GQ Style, Oscar Isaac revealed several of the “tons of reasons” for why he finally chose to get married to the filmmaker, Elvira Lind, in March of 2017.
They tied the knot just one month before the birth of their first child, a baby boy. Isacc stated his wife is Danish, a group of people who don’t believe in marriage, but she was very pregnant, so there came the point where they had to figure out what to do.
As for why the people don’t believe in holy matrimony in Denmark, Isaac said it has a lot to do with the equality of the sexes. Marriage has no meaning financially because the government takes care of its people.
He said, “the marriage itself becomes less important.” Isaac had other reasons for getting married. When his mother was getting sick, seeing his then-girlfriend take care of his mom was heartwarming, and he decided he would spend the rest of his life with this person.
Isaac’s mother passed away just a month before he finally tied the knot. The Star Wars alum admitted it was a wild period in his life and he’ll be “processing it” for the rest of his days.
Sources close to the couple stated, “they’re really good together, and they got married for the right reasons: they love each other.” Additionally, the actor spoke on why they decided to stay in Brooklyn, New York. He said he “feels grounded” there.
Oscar says he’s not a big fan of LA because it just doesn’t vibe with his personality. However, there are a lot of “tempting things” about the city. We send our congratulations to the father-of-one and his wife, Elvira.
