Nevada officials are currently working on a plan to release controversial O.J. Simpson from prison very soon. We have learned that he could be a free man as early as this upcoming Monday!
The 70-year-old was granted parole in July of 2017 when it was also decided that his parole would begin on October 1, which is a Sunday.
That being said, considering that officials do not handle releases on weekends, it looks like Simpson might need to stay in prison for one extra day.
As you may already be aware, the former NFL star, also known as The Juice spent the last nine years of his life in prison following his 2008 kidnapping and armed robbery convictions.
What led to his arrest was a confrontation in a Las Vegas hotel suite with a couple of sports memorabilia dealers.
However, despite the felony that got him to spend almost a decade behind bars, O.J. is best known for his controversial Trial of the Century in which he was judged and found not guilty of murdering his wife and wife’s friend.
Regardless of the judge’s decision, many people still think he actually did kill them and got away with it.
Even though O.J. Simpson will soon be freed from prison, he will continue to be supervised by the Division of Parole and Probation.
