O.J. Simpson is free after he was officially released from prison in the early hours of October 1, after spending almost nine years imprisoned for an armed robbery in Las Vegas.
O.J. Simpson has been freed on parole after being behind bars because he was a double murder suspect.
He was for a decade in prison for an armed robbery in Las Vegas after having a confrontation with two sports traders in a hotel room.
His sentence was up to 33 years, but he was granted parole back in July due to his good behavior and more credits that he earned while he was in custody.
O.J. was previously granted parole after a dramatic hearing on July 20 after four members of the Nevada Board of Parole agreed that inmate No. 1027820, O.J., at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Facility served enough time for the crime.
‘I don’t have any information on where he’s going,’ spokeswoman Brooke Keast told The Associated Press and also added that she had no idea where he was at that time.
In case you were wondering why O.J. was released in the dead of night, she stated, ‘We needed to do this to ensure public safety and to avoid any possible incident.’
