Miley Cyrus’ younger sister told all about her music as well as the way the lyrics of her songs reflect her real emotions. 18-year-old Noah Cyrus got candid for L’Officiel USA, opening up about her battle with depression and anxiety and how her mental health problems influence her art.
About her new EP, Noah shared: ‘This EP is mostly just about how my emotions have been, and about my anxiety, and about how I’ve been struggling with depression, and how it’s okay to feel those feelings.’
She goes on to say that ‘A lot of people like to judge you, and make fun of you on the Internet, and people make you feel crazy whenever you’re in a depression or having anxiety or having a panic attack. about that and being sad and having your emotions and not being able to ignore the feelings you’re having.’
Noah explained during her interview for the magazine, that her music is often ‘an exploration of a more ’emo’ side for sure. I think that probably stems from growing up with Trace Cyrus in my house because he was the king of emo.’
Here she is talking about her brother, who used to be the frontman of the band Metro Station.
But while she struggles with anxiety and depression, at least Noah is very happy when it comes to her love life.
The teen is currently dating Lil Xan with whom she’s actually released a song called Live or Die not too long ago.
The two made their red carpet debut at the MTV VMAs.
While at the awards show, the pair told E! News about their collab, saying: ‘I feel like it makes it easier, like it makes it way easier, like ten times easier. I mean ‘Live or Die’ just came out last night and it’s already going crazy.’
Lil Xan then added: ‘Life’s a blessing, to meet her was a blessing, I’m obsessed with her.’
