Nicole Eggert is very active on Twitter, and before filing a police report against Scott Baio with friend and Charles in Charge co-star Alexander Polinsky, she made her accusations of child sexual abuse against the show’s director and lead star public via the social media network.
It was on Jan. 27, 2018, in response to another Twitter user’s politically-themed tweet, that Eggert responded by calling Baio a creep. She alleged he had sexually molested her as a teen working on the show and later said he digitally penetrated her when she was 14-years-old.
Alexander Polinsky says Baio emotionally tormented and humiliated him while he worked on the show. Baio has denied all of the allegations Eggert and Polinsky have levied against him and says he is being set up for reasons he doesn’t understand. The L.A.P.D. is currently investigating the allegations and there is a possibility criminal charges could be filed.
On February 21, 2018, Nicole Eggert shared a link on Twitter to a past interview with Scott Baio. Baio was a guest on Howard Stern on Demand and spoke about many of the women he had past relationships with. The date of the interview was July 24, 2007, and the blog “Oh No They Didn’t” wrote a piece about it.
Nicole shared a link to the blog’s article that discussed the interview and included some disparaging remarks that were made.
Nicole Eggert pointed out that while on the show, Scott Baio played the game “Who would you.” In the game, he named three people including who he would kill, who he would marry, and who he wanted to have sex with. When it came to who he would marry, his answer was Nicole Eggert.
You can see the tweet as shared by Nicole Eggert below.
Oh….so he would marry me? How old was I when he said this? Not old enough 🤮https://t.co/KHQ3mc11Nr

The remarks sparked controversy between Nicole’s and Scott’s supporters. Those who support Nicole left comments indicating the comments backed up her claim that Scott was sexually inappropriate with her between the ages of 14-17.
Scott’s supporters said that it was just a game and the comments were meaningless.
Nicole Eggert said during a live press conference with her attorney Lisa Bloom and actor and musician Alexander Polinsky that Baio described their relationship as being similar to Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She has stated multiple times that he told her he wanted to marry her.
Scott Baio denies the allegations against him and has vowed to clear his name.
What do you think about the Scott Baio/Howard Stern interview? Do you agree or disagree that it is relevant to Nicole’s case?
(Charisse Van Horn and Alexander Polinsky personally follow each other on Twitter and have spoken to each other in the past, but not about the Scott Baio case. She has also tweeted in the past messages of support for Nicole Eggert to come forward and tell her story. She does her best to be fair and balanced and present all sides of the case. Scott Baio denies all allegations of child abuse against him.)
