The female emcee went full-savage on fellow rapper Travis Scott. Nicki Minaj took to social media today to slam Travis Scott, saying he only managed to top the album charts because of Kylie Jenner!
It’s safe to say that Nicki is not at all happy about the fact that she is battling Scott for the number one position in the United States and was not afraid to share her opinion with the world.
What eventually made her explode was the fact that Kylie Jenner posted on her Instagram a promotional pic for her baby daddy’s upcoming tour, captioning it: ‘me and storm ready for tour ?♥️ shop.travisscott.com.’
Nicki did not appreciate the promotion as she tweeted: ‘I put my blood sweat and tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her and Stormi. lol. I’m actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus and thank you to my fans.’
Her new album and Travis’ one have been battling for number one.
Some reports have been claiming Minaj was the one to take it while others say it’s Scott on top!
However, as far as fair sales are concerned, Nicki insists that she is the ultimate champion.
‘My first album sold 400K. No one’s doing that with debut albums now. So I am so grateful. I lost out on 12 hours of sales and did 200K in a week after I was supposedly canceled. I bit my tongue last #QueenRadio but I won’t On Tuesday. I love you guys so much,’ she tweeted again.
In addition, she talked about Billboard putting Travis Scott’s album on top, noting how unfair it is that it includes merchandise sales he began making prior to the album’s release.
‘I looked at the numbers the Carters, Kanye, Nas, etc. recently did. Travis sold 200K in his first week of clothes alone. I spoke to him last night, and he said he’s been selling clothes b4 the music. Billboard says they’ll change the rules cuz of this, so it should be changed now!’ Nicki went on before claiming Travis himself is well aware he did not deserve the title.
‘I spoke to him. He knows he doesn’t have the #1 album this week. I love my fans for the #1 album in AMERICA! I’ll explain on #QueenRadio 4 albums in, #1 in 86 countries.’
