Nicki Minaj Enrages Fans By Posing For ‘Haper’s Bazaar’ Russia — ‘She Lost 1.2 Million Followers!’

Nicki Minaj appears on the cover of the newest issue of Harper’s Bazaar Russia and while she looks great, her fans were outraged she’d agree to pose for the publication. Here’s why!
Social media users took to Twitter to argue that she pretty much threw aside her LGBTQ fans as Russia has very strict laws against the community.
Russia has anti LGBTQIA propaganda laws, Chechnya supported by Russia tortures it’s LGBTQIA citizens, & w your LGBTQ+ fans you can’t even speak to that in this interview bc it’s illegal in Russia, what’s good @NICKIMINAJ , this should’ve been a hard pass. pic.twitter.com/6WqZdXSKKl

‘She lost 1.2 million followers,’ one person pointed out.
Others were so angry about her being on the Russian magazine’s cover that they even decided she must be ‘homophobic’ and were not afraid to tell her.
‘The homophobia jumped out, again,’ someone wrote.
But that’s not all! Aside from her enraged followers, there were also celebs who decided to talk about the matter.
For instance, Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy tweeted: ‘Russia tortures its LGBTQIA citizens, and w your LGBTQ+ fans you cannot even speak to that in this interview bc it’s illegal in Russia.’ Yikes! That really seems like a legitimate worry for her fans.
The rapper is yet to address the backlash even though she is well known for interacting with her fans on social media quite often. We are guessing she wants to wait and choose her words wisely.
In the end, at least she really worked that cover, and we are looking forward to seeing the entire feature, including more great photos and the interview.
What do you think about this scandal? Did Nicki Minaj mess up by agreeing to be on the cover or not? Let us know!
