Nicki Minaj has just released some brand new music, and it seems like her timing has created speculations and raised some brows. Knowing that the new tracks titled Chun-Li and Barbie Tingz dropped less than a week after Cardi B’s debut album Invasion of Privacy, does that mean she did so intentionally to steal the Bodak Yellow rapper’s thunder?
Is Nicki Minaj really trying to kill her fellow female rapper’s momentum? One source has decided to speak out!
‘There is not any animosity between the two of them, even though some fans are trying to make up beef and create issues. Nicki respects Cardi and will always root for the success of other female artists and MCs. But now she is ready to come back,’ the insider explained.
Similarly, another source has said of Cardi that she ‘is just focused on her music and respects all of the female rappers that came before her.’
We are very glad there is no feud between the two MCs.
Beef rumors started soon after Nicki released Barbie Tingz and it was because of some of the lyrics which seemed to throw shade at Cardi.
‘Had to come off IG so they can’t stalk me… All they do is copy looks, steal music too,’ Nicki raps.
People immediately theorized that she was dissing Cardi whose success has caused a lot of comparisons between her and Minaj.
Of course, that interpretation of the lyrics was quite a stretch, and it looks like the two stars are actually playing nice.
Who knows, maybe they’ll even collab one day! Would you like to see that happening?
