Nicki Minaj has been upset about losing the number one album spot to fellow rapper Travis Scott but what she really cannot accept is anyone claiming his performance at the VMAs was better than hers. In fact, she even has proof that people appreciated her more at the event – the views!
It looks like Nicki’s performance got her three times more views than Scott’s got him on YouTube.
As you can imagine, she could not help but boast about that victory over whom she has seemingly been deeming her rival lately.
Minaj took to social media to write: ‘Guess which performance is the MOST VIEWED from Monday’s VMA’s????!!! Link in my bio to check it out! Thank you to this crowd. You guys made this such a legendary time. Love you. Love you. Love you so much.’
The female emcee also included one line from Ganja Burns that goes: ‘YOU COULD NAME ANYBODY, WEATHER MAN, PICK A DAY! KOBE, KD, KYRIE! PICK A K!!!!!!’
In the song, she goes on to rap that ‘Put my blood, sweat and tears in perfecting my craft/Still every team’s number one pick in the draft.’
Indeed, the star did great during her performance at the award show and judging by the number of views she got on MTV’s official YouTube page, it is safe to say everyone loved it.
That being said, while Kylie Jenner’s baby daddy managed to get 1.3 views at the time of this article’s publication, Nicki already reached 4.2 million!
But how did social media react to Nicki’s brag?
One user wrote: ‘That performance was everything!!! I can’t lie …ur the only reason I watched it.’
However, another was not impressed as they commented: ‘You can’t say queen when you walking around crying and bitter like a peasant,’ referring to the fact that she has been complaining about Scott taking the first spot on the charts.
‘After acting like a spoiled little girl crying over the internet what was supposed to happen? Travis Scott had the best performance tho,’ someone also agreed.
